For patterns the following rules apply:

  • First create the pattern, afterwards the blend.

  • Apply the Chamfer/Fillet feature at the Pattern origin.

Limitation:

The use of construction edges in combination with a pattern is not allowed.

The following figure shows a rounding on a construction edge. In order to create the blend, the intersection of cylinder barrel and cube top side has been used. However, on this construction edge it is not possible to create a pattern. In this case the desired elements have to be created one after another without pattern.

Initial situation:

You created an element with the help of a pattern and now you want to use the Blend feature.

  1. At the Pattern origin, select the desired face (or edge), where the chamfer or rounding shall be created.

  2. In the context menu, click on New Chamfer/Fillet....

    -> The dialog Chamfer/Fillet is opened.

    Determine the desired Chamfer or Fillet.

  3. Click OK.

    -> The Blend feature is applied for all pattern elements.
