6.10.1. Prepare catalog

Projects and directories which shall not be published don't have to be removed, but can be marked as "Not to publish".

Icons signalize the current publishing state.

Icon Meaning

The quotation mark is displayed, when the state is not clear (during catalog download for example). In other cases you can use the command Update publication status in order to clarify the status.

The gray-green icon is shown, when below there are both directories or projects to be published and not to be published.

Context menu commands change the publishing status.

  • Set publication mark (on project and directory level)

    -> On project level the icon changes from to .

    -> On directory level the icon changes from or to . All directories and projects below an edited directory receive the status "Marked for publishing" .

  • Remove publication mark (on project and directory level)

    -> On project level the icon changes from to .

    -> On directory level the icon changes from or to . All directories and projects below an edited directory receive the status "NOT marked for publishing" .

  • Update publication status (on directory level)

    In order to ensure a correct display perform the command Update publication status.

Example:

  1. Initial situation:

    The "Published" flag is set on all projects of a directory.

    Meaning the green globe is displayed everywhere.

  2. The context menu command Remove publication mark is executed on the first project.

  3. Result:

    1. The globe on project level changes its color to gray and thus signalizes that this project will not be published.

    2. The globe at the superordinated directory changes its color to gray-green and thus signalizes that in this directory there is at least one project, which will not be published.

    3. The green checkmark at the superordinated directory changes its color to red and thus signalizes that local working copy and server state are different.
