Part annotations do not have any text. For each single part of an assembly the so-called position number is displayed.
Position numbers are only assigned to parts, which are relevant for the bill of material. This are exactly those parts, which have got the attribute Transfer to Bill of Material in the assembly configuration. In the PARTdataManager Part view these parts are displayed in black in the Assembly window, parts which are not relevant, are displayed in gray.
Position numbers are generated dynamically. Identical NBs get the same position number.
The position numbers can not only be displayed in a 2D view, but also in a list of material. On this please see under Section 5.4.4.8, “[ELEMENT_table] Table ”.
