5.8.2.1.11.  Sort directory

The order of the various directories / folders in the tree can be changed.

  1. Mark the directory whose subdirectories you wish to reorder and click on the context menu command Sort directory.

    -> The dialog box Order is opened. There you can see a listing of all subfolders.

  2. Mark the directory whose position you want to change.

  3. Change position by clicking on the arrow keys (up and down).

    Alternatively you can change the position via Drag & Drop.

  4. Confirm with OK.

    -> The new order is applied to the PARTproject tree.

  5. Click on Save.

In order for these changes to be active in PARTdataManager please carry out the following command on the respective directory level: PARTadmin -> Index administration -> Update. See Section 1.3.8.6.2, “Context menu commands in detail ” in PARTsolutions / PARTcommunity4Enterprise - Administration Manual.

If you want to carry out the command for all catalogs, then use the Generate new search index command. See Section 1.3.8.4.2, “ Update display index ” in PARTsolutions / PARTcommunity4Enterprise - Administration Manual.

Attention! This may possibly take some hours, depending on the number of installed catalogs!

[Note] Note

The sorting order can also be changed for catalogs (not for subdirectories) in PARTadmin. Advantage: The index does not have to be updated. See Section 1.3.8.6.2, “Context menu commands in detail ” in PARTsolutions / PARTcommunity4Enterprise - Administration Manual -> Sort catalogs.
