5.7.1.4.  Update index

Display in PARTdataManager

In order for single parts to be found and displayed in the PARTsolutions module PARTdataManager, directories and/or file references are necessary.

These references are pregenerated in the form of search index files upon catalog delivery.

If changes have been made to files or new files are added, the index must be updated every time.

You can do this in PARTproject via Update index button.

Update index only concerns the display in PARTdataManager.

Search in PARTproject

In order for Full-text search and Variables search to work in PARTproject (compare Section 5.7.1.1, “ Text search for part ”), the Full-text search index has to be created in PARTadmin. (See Section 1.3.8.6.2, “Context menu commands in detail ” in PARTsolutions / PARTcommunity4Enterprise - Administration Manual.)

Search in PARTdataManager

If the Full-text search index has been updated for the search in PARTproject, then it automatically works in PARTdataManager as well.

In order for the e geometrical search methods and the search for ERP information to work in PARTdataManager the Geometrical search index and the LinkDB search index have to be created. (See Section 1.3.8.6.2, “Context menu commands in detail ” in PARTsolutions / PARTcommunity4Enterprise - Administration Manual.
