In PARTproject -> tab General -> Variables there is a field Material for specification of part material.

By clicking on the ... button at the end of the row, a window pops up in which you can select from the already used materials. Primary materials should always be chosen from this list in order to keep consistency inside the catalog (and also between other suppliers). Materials that are not yet existing in this list are allowed to be added as a “Free text” – but this must be always translated at least into “English” and “Default” via PARTproject -> tab Translation.

	Note
	The maintained materials are not mapped to any material lists of the CAD systems during the part export (date 22.06.2015) – they only fulfill an informative function.
