(EN) PARTcloud.net member: ES-EN ENGINEERS

  • We would like to introduce our most active members on PARTcloud.net every two weeks. The goal is to find out more about them, but also to show our appreciation for their contribution.

    March 2018: ES-EN ENGINEERS

    1. Can you tell us a little bit more about yourselves and your background?

We are Enes and Esmir or as you might know us as „ES-EN engineers“, two mechanical engineers. We were educated at the Technical Faculty in Bihac, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since we have a lot of experience with 3D modeling, we decided to share some of our models with other members on PARTcommunity.com portal.

Enes works as a mechanical project engineer and Esmir works at a high school, as a professor, where he teaches students AutoCAD, CATIA V5, mechanical drawings, mechanics, etc.

    2. What software(s) do you use?

We use SOLIDWORKS, CATIA V5, Autodesk Inventor and Auto CAD.

    3. When and how did you start with 3D modeling and what was your first model?

We started modeling at the faculty. We do not remember our first model. It was a simple thing, something like a cube with holes.

    4. What are your favorite modeling subjects/themes?

Our favorite subjects are mostly mechanical parts. We are also dealing with some automotive parts and with everything related to engineering.

    5. Are you also into 3D printing?

Not really, even though we worked on some printable parts. The school that I (Esmir) work at is in the process of purchasing one 3D printer. That means will be directly involved in that area, too.

    6. Is there any specific 3D model that you are proud of and why?

Yes, we are proud of many models:

    HEAVY TOOLS - BIKE

    Defender 90

    7. What was the most challenging project you have done?

The bicycle, because it has many details. Everything, were done by measuring one real bike and transferring dimensions and measurements in 3D software. Every detail, are precisely measured and designed.

    8. As one of our most active members on PARTcloud.net, what do you find so attractive about it?

You can find 3D models from almost all engineering and non-engineering areas. In addition, you can participate in some challenges. It is great that the portal has a Weekly Challenge! Another good thing is that that you can communicate with other engineers from all around the world, exchange experiences, models, questions, answers and much more.

    9. What features in PARTcommunity/PARTcloud would you like to see in the future?

Well, everything seems pretty much okay for now. We hope it will remain like that. :)

    10. Do you have any other hobbies?

Of course, we enjoy riding bikes and photographing. Photography is similar to 3D modeling. It is also important to pay attention to the finest details, if you want your photo to be correct, it is similar with 3D models. While riding bicycles we often run into some interesting things ideal for photography.

    11. Do you have any goals for the future regarding 3D modeling?

As the old proverb says: "A man learns his whole life."

It is the same thing to 3D modeling; every new day is a new opportunity to learn something new and to transfer it into the software. The engineering world is so big and it is constantly growing, we are all necessitate to learn more and to try at least, to keep up with that world.

    12. What advise would you give to beginners?

We can start with the classics that every beginning is tough and we should not give up. Although in the end, we could say that we are all beginners. It is important to have a strong will and to persevere in it. Let us use the time ahead of us wisely. :)
